Description

Ninja Swirl frozen desserts are the perfect treat for a hot day, offering a quick and easy way to enjoy creamy, refreshing frozen treats right at home. Whether you’re craving ice cream, sorbet, or a fruity swirl, this recipe shows you how to create a variety of frozen desserts using the Ninja Creami or similar appliance. The possibilities are endless, from classic vanilla to exciting new flavor combinations like strawberry mango swirl!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups heavy cream (for ice cream base)
  • 1 cup whole milk (for creaminess)
  • 3/4 cup sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (or flavor of your choice)
  • 1 cup of frozen fruit (e.g., strawberries, mangoes, or mixed berries)
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional, for sweetness)
  • Pinch of salt (to balance sweetness)
  • Optional: 1/2 cup crushed cookies, chocolate chips, or swirlable sauces (caramel, chocolate, etc.)

Instructions

  • In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, whole milk, sugar, and vanilla extract until the sugar dissolves completely.
  • Pour the mixture into your Ninja Creami pint container (or any other compatible frozen dessert maker) and lock the lid into place.
  • Place the container in the freezer and freeze for 24 hours or until completely solid.
  • Once frozen, remove the container from the freezer and insert it into the Ninja Creami machine. Select the “Ice Cream” mode to begin the process.
  • While the base is blending, place your frozen fruit (such as strawberries or mangoes) into a separate container. If you like a sweetened fruit base, mix the fruit with honey or syrup and a pinch of salt.
  • When the ice cream base is ready, transfer the blended fruit into the pint container and gently swirl into the ice cream for a marbled effect. You can use a spoon to mix in more toppings such as crushed cookies, chocolate chips, or a ribbon of caramel sauce.
  • For an extra creamy texture, you can process it again using the “Re-spin” feature of the Ninja Creami.
  • Scoop the dessert into bowls or cones and enjoy immediately! You can also store any leftovers in an airtight container in the freezer.

Notes

  • Flavor Variations: Experiment with different flavor combinations by adding various fruits, extracts (like almond or mint), or even chocolate or peanut butter swirls.
  • Toppings: Get creative with your toppings! Add nuts, sprinkles, granola, or whipped cream for extra crunch and texture.
  • Non-Dairy Option: For a dairy-free version, swap the heavy cream and milk with coconut cream and almond milk, respectively.
  • Consistency: If you prefer a softer consistency, let the dessert sit at room temperature for a few minutes before serving.
  • For Creamier Results: Using a higher fat content cream will result in a creamier, more indulgent frozen treat.
